One standout feature of our grain bins is Sukup’s grain bin safety door. The design helps ensure that the inside door
panels are fully locked before the outer door panel can be secured. It is one more step toward improving safety during daily operations around the bin.
Sukup has also expanded additional safety features from commercial bins into farm bins, including the knot-passing pulley on all Sukup bins with structured roofs. These serve as secure points for farmers to attach to if entering a bin, and it provides a reliable option for rescue teams in emergency situations.

Every Sukup bin is built with Sukup’s Super Shield coating. This coating helps extend the life of the galvanized steel while maintaining a uniform appearance from top to bottom. The result is a grain bin designed to withstand tough conditions while staying stronger longer.
Another patented feature on our commercial bins is the Double End Stud Bolt™.
After researching moisture issues in bins, Sukup found that water intrusion often occurred around stiffener holes rather than vertical seams. Utilizing a Double End Stud Bolt™ effectively prevents moisture from seeping between the stiffener and laminated sheets, keeping the stored grain dry. The design makes the bin easier to erect because the holes are properly aligned and eliminate gaps that can lead to leaking.
These features add longevity and help protect the condition of the grain inside the bin.
